Post Season Selection
DUC Middle School season will wrap up April 10th, and we’re excited to offer select athletes the opportunity to continue training with the U16 program through the Youth Central Regional Championship (May 3–4).
This is a great next step for athletes who’ve shown strong commitment, enthusiasm, and readiness to race.
Families will be notified by March 24th if their athlete is invited to join the U16 group — giving everyone time to plan and transition smoothly.
These athletes will transition to training with the U16/U17 team on April 11th under the high school schedule- preparing them for the competitive high school team in the Fall!

Middle School Racing Team
The DUC Middle School program will also include a Racing Team. This group will be selected by the middle school coaches early in the Spring Season based on maturity, emotional readiness, skill, and availability. Each athlete will be evaluated at practice by the middle school coaches. It's important to note that each athlete at this age progresses differently, and we are striving to meet each one at their readiness level, giving them the opportunities they need and the tools to improve. The Racing Team will be selected in early February, with the roster being fully set, and lineups created for training by March 10th.
The Racing program is designed to create additional racing opportunities at the regional level for middle schoolers who are ready to take the next step as athletes without fully transitioning to the rigors and schedule of the high school team. The primary middle school group will also have the opportunity to participate in local scrimmages on White Rock Lake.
Tentative Scrimmage Dates:
Mornings ~7-10 am
Saturday, March 7th
Saturday, April 4th
The primary Middle School season will wrap up April 10th, with the Racing Team continuing on through May 3.
Additional commitments for the Racing Team include additional practices (when available), and participation in travel regattas: The OKC Invitational (April 11-12th), and again for the Regional Championship (April 30-May 3).
Estimated Travel Costs:
OKC Invite: ~$350
Central Regionals ~ $795
