MAKING WAVES AND MAKING HISTORY

We are proud of the veterans in our program.  We are making waves and making history!  In 2015, Dallas United Crew hosted the first ever rowing exhibition at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games.  Additionally, our Veterans  were the first wheelchair athletes to race at the Heart of Texas Regatta - Austin, Texas.

Dallas United Crew Awarded Grant From USRowing's Freedom Rows project

Dallas United Crew continues to be awarded USRowing’s 2017 Freedom Rows project grant. This grant is made possible with funding, in part, by the Department of Veterans Affairs.  The Grants for Adaptive Sports Programs for disabled Veterans and Members of the Armed Forces (ASG Program) provides grant funding to organizations to increase and expand the quantity and quality of adaptive sport activities disabled Veterans and members of the Armed Forces to participate in physical activity within their home communities, as well as more advanced Paralympic and adaptive sport programs at the regional and national levels.

Through the grant, USRowing has partnered with VA rehabilitation hospitals and USRowing members across the United States.
