Other Fees:

NEW! Rowing Shoes  We are making a team-wide move to the BAT Logic Quick Release shoe system to improve comfort, hygiene and rower performance.  The cost of the base/shoe plates for each seat is covered in your registration fee, but each rower needs to purchase a pair of rowing shoes that are compatible with the BAT Logic system.  Our coaches recommend shoes from one of these vendors:
Bont Rowing
H2Row

NEW! Headsets for Coxswains Only Also new is our requirement for each coxswain to purchase and maintain their own microphone and headset.  DUC will continue to provide cox boxes but we believe wear and tear and most importantly, hygiene, will be better maintained if headsets remain in the possession of our coxswains.  Order your headset from NK Sports.

2024-2025 RULES & EXPECTATIONS

ATTENDANCE

DUC places a high value on commitment, dedication, and teamwork. Regular attendance is crucial for individual and team progress, skill development, and overall success. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to occasional absences. To strike a balance between promoting accountability and accommodating genuine reasons for missing practices, we have established an attendance policy found HERE.

VACATION DATES

Practices at the Power Plant will pause from December 21st, 2024 through January 7th, 2025. This is the best time amid the seasons to vacation.

The boathouse will also be closed from November 25th through December 1st (Tuesday through Sunday of the week of Thanksgiving) except for Alumni Day on Friday, November 29th. Current rowers are encouraged but not required to attend as an opportunity to row with alumni and mingle with old teammates.

Based on our summer schedules, if an athlete is interested in racing for our High-Performance Team, it is recommended that families plan summer travel in the latter half of July into the early weeks of August 2025.
