COVID-19 UPDATES

Friday APRIL 3, 2020:


- Dallas County Officials this morning extended a disaster declaration, including stay-at-home orders, until May 20. County Judge Clay Jenkins now says shelter-in-place will remain until April 30.

- Dallas Parks and Recreation have closed all vehicle access to 
White Rock Lake Park in response to the large group gatherings.  Manned roadblocks stand at every entrance to prevent any vehicular traffic.  The park remains open to bicycles and pedestrians.  ALL rowing and sailing clubs on White Rock Lake remain closed.

- No members of DUC have reported any cases of COVID-19.

 

 

Wednesday APRIL 1, 2020:


- Gov. Greg Abbott extends only "essential services" order through April 30;  on March 31 Texas Gov. Abbott extended his temporary closure of gyms, bars and restaurant dining areas. The governor said all Texans must adhere to “social distancing” through April 30. His order says that “every person in Texas shall, except where necessary to provide or obtain essential services, minimize social gatherings and minimize in-person contact with people who are not in the same household.”

- Dallas Parks and Recreation have closed all vehicle access to 
White Rock Lake Park in response to the large groups of people gathering over last weekend.  Manned roadblocks stand at every entrance to prevent any vehicular traffic.  The park remains open to bicycles and pedestrians.

- No members of DUC have reported any cases of COVID-19.

 

 

Wednesday March 25, 2020:


- The "Stay Home Stay Safe" order, effective as of 11:59 p.m. on March 23, will continue through April 3, 2020.  This order forbids all public or private gatherings of any number of people.

- Dallas Parks and Recreation have closed all amenities except open spaces and trails utilizing 6' of separation, which includes our boathouse. 

- No members of DUC have reported any cases of COVID-19.
